Namaz PlannerTerms of Use

These terms apply to the Namaz Planner app (“the app”), published by Moinuddin Girach (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you get the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two differ for the App Store version, Apple's agreement takes precedence.
Using the app
The app is free for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, resell or reverse-engineer it, except where the law allows.
Prayer times and religious guidance
Prayer, makruh and qibla information is calculated from astronomical formulas and the settings you choose (location, calculation method, Asr time and adjustments). Results can differ from your local masjid's timetable, and moon-sighting-based dates such as the start of Ramadan may differ by a day. Please check with your local masjid or scholar when it matters, and adjust the settings to match.
Alerts depend on your phone: notification permission, Focus or Do Not Disturb, battery saving and opening the app every few days so upcoming alerts are scheduled. We can't guarantee that every alert is delivered.
The app is a planning aid and is not a substitute for religious knowledge or guidance.
Ads
The app shows banner ads from Google AdMob. Ads are provided by third parties and we're not responsible for their content or for websites they lead to. How ad data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
Third-party content
City data is from GeoNames, licensed under CC BY 4.0. Prayer time calculations use the open-source Adhan library.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise it will be error-free or always available.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on times, alerts or directions shown in the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. The date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
